Monthly Dinner Club

This is a blogspot which will serve as a Restaurant Review for our Monthly Dinner Club. We are based in Cape Town and have visited restaurants since January 2001. Each month, one of the Organisers selects a new restaurant with the only rule being that it is not allowed to be a venue that the Monthly Dinner Club or one of the Organisers have frequented before.

Prego steak roll was great value for money & my steak was a thick cut & better than Mike's fillet. This place is rather loud - I must be getting old!

- Ummm, think I tried horse / donkey / slow-roasted dog's asshole today. Can't say I enjoyed it too much.

- Value for money, ribs soft & succulent. Eisbein was lovely & crispy, pity the sides weren't as listed in menu. Honey & mustard was Hot English. Boiled potatoes & veg was chips & macaroni!

- Wow, someone should tell Guy Fieri about this place for 'Diners, Drive-ins & Dives'. What huge portions! Definite value for money. The chicken schnitzel was succulent and it was the best mushroom sauce I have had in ages. you can see the mushrooms. Amazing. Great vibe!!

- Crumbed mushrooms starter is a huge portion. Steak & rib combo is excellent value for money & delicious! Loud but nice & vibey. Good food & we always had drinks. Well worth a visit!

- Good portions, crumbed mushrooms good.

- I didn't know ppl. still write in 'hierogliphics' (referring to last comment). Lekker vibe - good thing I have a loud voice. Ribs awesome - like / like it!!!

- Grumpiest Waitress ever!!! Ribs are good though!
