Monthly Dinner Club

This is a blogspot which will serve as a Restaurant Review for our Monthly Dinner Club. We are based in Cape Town and have visited restaurants since January 2001. Each month, one of the Organisers selects a new restaurant with the only rule being that it is not allowed to be a venue that the Monthly Dinner Club or one of the Organisers have frequented before.

Not a burger or dogs-asshole steak in sight! Very different, good vibe, tasty food.

- Liked the idea of eating with my hands & the decor is amazing, good music, good vibe, good value for money.

- The style of eating with your hands out of the same plate with your friends and touching the food really makes a unique experience and creates an atmosphere of sharing. Awesome food and good friends. Highly recommended.

- Great atmosphere and adventure dining. Interesting and good food. A finger dining experience in a relaxed and with much love decorated restaurant. Would definitely go there again for an easy going and entertaining evening. Great prices.

- Good food and platters are much more than expected when plate is presented. Nice to have different tastes.

- Dora Wat: Spicy, but tasty. Only one piece of chicken though. Injera plentiful. Service very slow.

- Good food & atmosphere. Platter shared was great. Some a bit spicy - great variety.

- Good food, not sure if venue complies with Health & Safety regulations.

- Loved the platter for 6 at R275 - nice way to taste a variety  of dishes.

- The sense of occasion was greater than the food. A new experience - you can't see the trees for the forest. All in all it was okay. One meat - 5 different ways of cooking it.

- Very different experience, enjoyed the company & the Ethiopian experience.

- Loved the decor. The food was different but very good. Very filling.
