Monthly Dinner Club

This is a blogspot which will serve as a Restaurant Review for our Monthly Dinner Club. We are based in Cape Town and have visited restaurants since January 2001. Each month, one of the Organisers selects a new restaurant with the only rule being that it is not allowed to be a venue that the Monthly Dinner Club or one of the Organisers have frequented before.

Review:

- No berries, no blue cheese, no creme brulee, no Minki!

- Burger was good + nice, Delicious!

- Calamari started was tasty!

- Panacotta was tasteless!

- Never seen a runny choc souffle in my life... open duck sarmie was good. Pity no 'blue cheese'. Also restaurant ran out of desserts. Baie Swak!

- 5 items on the menu using blue cheese and no blue cheese!

- Duck a bit tough but tasty. Dessert not so great. Book wall paper makes for good conversation piece.

- Avocado soup was interesting; nice + light. Roast veg toasted pannini was filling. Nice relaxed atmosphere + company entertaining (as always).

- Lovely setting, loved the wall paper. Kept me busy! Food was disappointing. Expected more from a "Celeb" restaurant. No Minkie!!! And her husband is "Constant"ly in hiding :-)

- Avo soup good. Choc souffle 'not' liquid mousse. the Co made up for the food.

- Proper chewy mints. Yay!
