Monthly Dinner Club

This is a blogspot which will serve as a Restaurant Review for our Monthly Dinner Club. We are based in Cape Town and have visited restaurants since January 2001. Each month, one of the Organisers selects a new restaurant with the only rule being that it is not allowed to be a venue that the Monthly Dinner Club or one of the Organisers have frequented before.

Comments:

- Lovely view! Bit of a wait for the food, but well worth it! Squid starter excellent & steak very tasty + filing. Worth a visit!

- Absolutely wonderful, the vibe & food were amazing. Great company as well.

- Well put it this way, I couldn't get through it. Fantastic view, fantastic food and fantastic company.

- Lovely starter + main. Parma ham + melons and steak was excellent. Good food!!

- Food was good - nice selection. However, service was a little slow and a bit random at times. Great location and atmosphere though.

- Great venue. Quality food. Will be back.

- Prawn starter only had 3 prawns - thought the waiter said 5! Steak main was delicious! Dessert was very generous, 6 mini donuts in the helpings! No fudge for the "coffee" dessert, nice decor, yuppy crowd.

- Really delicious food! Great venue with stunning views of Table Mountain. Service on the slow side but that can be forgiven since they've just opened.

- For starters, Carpaccio was excellent, so was the duck risotto!

- Duck Run was fabulous to watch! Never seen so many ducks in military formation before.

- Carpaccio was amazing & fillet steak lovely & huge portion! Beautiful venue & duck run well worth a visit.

- Lovely venue, personal service, nice wine, great food, good times:-)

- Bad wine, Cool duck:-)

- Nice bread:-)

- Bad pancake, very nice bread

- Wine was good and meat dishes where just as good. Considering I only make comment when I enjoy the meal, this was really good.

- Fantastic venue, great company. Our anniversary, Happy Day:-)

- Tomato Tart delicious, Venue equisite.

- Fabulous ambiance, great company & food & wine to compliment.

- Delicious chocolate fondante " death by chocolate".

- Food was great esp risotto. Only issue (and this applies to most wine farms I've visited) is they don't have a kiddies menu or baby changing room.

- Re the kids - the Chef was very accommodating in offering to split a main meal between the 2 kids.
