Monthly Dinner Club

This is a blogspot which will serve as a Restaurant Review for our Monthly Dinner Club. We are based in Cape Town and have visited restaurants since January 2001. Each month, one of the Organisers selects a new restaurant with the only rule being that it is not allowed to be a venue that the Monthly Dinner Club or one of the Organisers have frequented before.

Comments:

- Group split into 2 tables BUT too far apart!

- Ox tongue was a tender starter!

- Initially thought being at the back by the kitchen wouldn't be nice, but actually very cosy. Food great (mussels, pork belly, cheese cake) + arrived shortly after ordering. Enjoyed!

- Lovely relaxing atmosphere & sirloin was delicious!

- Strong coffee, chicken tasty, nice atmosphere.

- Lovely evening, great company, food & service!

- Ox tongue was really good, lamb shank tender. Should have had the creme brulee, caramel b&b pud ok but not as nice.

- Souffle was lovely as was the pumpkin ravioli. Served "small people's" meal as a starter for a "big person" which was great:-) but unfortunate that we were on 2 tables. Choc cake was also good.

- Service was fine & food was delicious, starter 'muscles' was superb & the creamy sauce was divine. Penne carbonara was fine & again the sauce was spot on. Only shite thing was dividing the group across 2 tables. I'd rate the place 8/10.

- Creme brulee good.

- Good Waitress - Justina!
